Position Description:
Provides on-sight
support to the Armed Scout Helicopter Program Office on Redstone
Arsenal, AL.
Initial efforts will
support the Iraqi Army (IA) 407 helicopter test program (90%) with
additional work in support of the Kiowa Warrior Cockpit and Sensor
Upgrade Program (KW CASUP) Prototype Integration Facility (PIF)
integration (10%). By month
18, the position will be full-time CASUP support.
In support of the IA
407, this Project Lead will report directly to the IA 407 Chief Engineer
and serve as the Chief Engineer's primary point of contact in resolving
technical deficiencies identified during safety of flight qualification
flight testing. The
position shall require coordination/communication with the Aviation
Engineering Directorate (AED) and Original Equipment Manufacturers
(OEMs) to bring all deficiencies to quick resolution
As the CASUP Air
Vehicle Lead, this position would be the primary interface with the PIF
in resolving Mission Equipment Package (MEP) placement, cable routing,
weight/balance, structural modification substantiation as required to
ultimately produce a technical data package.
During this portion of work, the position reports directly to the
CASUP Air Vehicle Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead (Robert Dudley).
Needed attributes of
employee:
1. Experience in
aviation (commercial or military) REQUIRED
2. BS degree in
engineering DESIRED
3. Experience in
leadership or project management DESIRED
4.
Experience in mechanical design, integration or repair DESIRED
